12 Hour Business Travel

Recently, I went on another quick business trip that was far enough away to require a plane ride but close enough that I could return home on the same day. Since this is becoming a more common occurrence in my life, I've realized that I have a mental checklist I scroll through in preparation for a short trip like this and maybe it would be worth compiling my thoughts into a blog post.

Because I am the type of person that likes to be prepared for everything, it's important for me to plan ahead. It's even more crucial for a trip like this because if I forget anything, then I'm basically screwed. On longer trips, if I've forgotten something, I have the luxury of time to stop and buy a replacement. However, on short trips, time is of the essence so preparation is key.
On the positive side, the luxury of a short trip is that you don't have to pack a bag of clothes and you really only need one bag so you can breeze through security efficiently.

Travel Photography & Videography

I feel like I have to make the announcement that I am an amateur at photography and videography so that I'm not attacked by professionals who will critique my advice and tell me everything I've said is wrong. It's just a fun hobby and a way for me to document my trips. That being said, I think my skills get better and better with every holiday so I thought I would share what I do to procure the photos and videos I share on this blog. That way, anyone who is even more amateur than me (if that is even possible) can maybe learn a thing or two and improve.
By the way, if you're interested, check out my Youtube playlist of travel videos.

Summer Holiday Shopping

Despite my summer holiday being ages away, I got kind of excited and gave my credit card a bit of a workout. I bought some new pieces for the trip that I thought would be comfortable in extreme heat but still pack well and be versatile enough to wear on the beach and to dinner.
(By the way, this blog is my hobby and not my job, so I don't use affiliate links. I'm just here to spread what I like and what I know.)

5 Reasons to Revisit a City

This blog has (hopefully) made obvious my love of traveling. I love being on holiday and getting away from the humdrum everyday existence and exploring new places, learning about new cultures, and most of all, eating delicious foods.

When I was younger, I was convinced that I wanted to just hit up each place once - basically just to say I'd been there - and make the list of countries I visited as long as possible. However, once I started exploring the world, I've built up real soft spots in my heart for certain places and I realized that there's merit to revisiting cities again and again.

I thought I'd list my five most notable revisited cities and offer five solid reasons that going back to a city is just as great (maybe even better) than trying a new place.
*The photo above is Point Zero in Paris. An old French man told me that if you stand on Point Zero, it's good luck and it guarantees you'll be coming back to the city in the future. So, I always make an effort to give ol' PZ a little toe tap.
